The saturated black colored woolly cap will remain dark for many years to come. Wool is bleached only to a minimal extent by the sun's rays, compared to cotton or linen fabrics. This cap has been tested to remain black for more than 10 years. The fine suede on the shade is made of goatskin, and will eventually get a nice patina. The leather can withstand all weathers, and can advantageously be dyed with shoe polish after 3-5 years of use. The inside of this cap is covered with the lining of a massive soft moleskine cotton fabric. Handmade in Germany, by Master Bullmann.

The cap is an eightpiece with loose hanging top, which can be pushed from side to side, as well as stand directly up in the air. The same details were seen in the movie 'The Wild One'. Featuring 8/4, eight-quarter paneling, a center top button and a contrasting black shiny leather bill, finished with canvas cotton band and buttons. Beautiful old craft. This wide eightpiece is durable and robust. The cap was Marlon Brando's original signature headgear. First of all, the most important thing is to know which fibers your cap is made of. Is it a wool cap, a flatcap in linen or silk? This is essential for proper washing of headgear. The long needle with decorative knob is used as an ornament on a hat or cap. Wilgart's hat and cap pins are made with granite stones from Bornholm. Choose from the reddish Almindingen granite, or the grayish semi-dark Paradise Hill granite, or the all-black obscure Rønne granite. Wilgart's hat shop loves to use local produce, and you can even get a set of cufflinks in the matching granite. We also sell a locally produced leather case for both hat pins and cufflinks. Everything is produced on the sunshine island of Bornholm. The needle is a signature of Wilgart's hats, and is included when you buy our Fedora black hair felt hat. Made from a single piece of high-quality vegetable tanned leather. KEYFOLDER can hold all your keys, organized in two separate stacks. Its size fits your hand and is comfortable when using the keys. This beautiful shepherd's hat in Harris Tweed, is sewn according to old traditions. The hat, sewn by a cap maker, is a predecessor of the urban and modern "bucket hat", but originally the bucket hats was in heavy wool and typically worn by shepherds and villagers in Ireland and Scotland. In English-speaking countries, the shepherd's hat is also called a bucket hat. Wilgart hat shop in Nørrebro is proud to have purchased this original herringbone-woven Harris Tweed wool, in which the bucket hat is sewn. We find it dressy for both men and women, and everything in between.

Our knit headwear of 100% RWS certified merino wool is woolly and comfortable. Beanie hats are usually not something a cap maker deals with, which is why for the same reason we have not produced it ourselves. On the other hand, in collaboration with a local knitting company in Italy, we have produced this versatile and eternally relevant beanie top hat. The hat is available in different colors and has a double-fold edge. The fine rib knit gives the hat good elasticity, and the wool yarn guarantees maximum durability and comfort.

Our cap with inner ear flaps is slightly wider than most flatcaps in our hat shop. It takes a little extra to fit the ear flaps to fit properly inside the cap. In addition, the earlobes have an incision, which makes the fabric spherical, and ensures that the flaps are snug around your ears and close to head. This cap is sewn according to artisanal traditions, and therefore has the highest standard in comfort and durability. The dark sixpence with earlobes is sewn in our neighbouring country Germany by skilled cap makers with more than 30 years of experience.

The secret to the amazing weather resistant cap lies in the production of the fabric, which uses the top 2% of the longest cotton fibers in the world. This water-repellent dark blue flatcap, is water resistant for some hours of moderate rain. However, it is not Water proof like (some) rainclothes are. The fabric provides good comfort because cotton as you might know, is a top fiber in terms of comfort and breathability.

These special designed flatcap boxes are made from old archive boxes that have become redundant after Copenhagen Archives' extensive digitization of file cards in the 2010s and 2020s. They are made of fine light wood, with solid finger joints at all edges. We have made the lid for the cap storage boxes ourselves in our wood workshop on Bornholm. We use GOTS certified organic moleskine cotton for the outerlayer and a recycled dyed sheet from Danish Steam Laundries for lining. The baseball cap is 100% produced in Denmark, from sustainable materials.

Traditional flatcap of the classic Harris Tweed fabric. A historical fabric that has a number of distinguishing properties, including the colorful patterns, the traditional form of production, and where the craftsmen who weave the fabric come from the geographically defined archipelago, namely the Outer Hebrides in northern Scotland. The cap is for outdoor use, e.g. hunting or leisure, and the wool is very durable and partly also water resistant. The flatcap can be used at booth formal occasions, but also in everyday life.

The fabric is woven in Germany by Schürmann Schröder Tekstilwaren, which is a family-run weaving mill in the 18th generation.
