General conditions

Prices

Prices are displayed in Danish kroner or Euros. All prices include Danish VAT of 25%. Prices do not include service, payment and delivery charges. Orders may be subjected to local taxes and/or import duties at your own expense.

Tax-free shopping at Wilgart.dk or Wilgart.com is not available.

Wilgart reserves the right to change prices of the products. The prices of the products will, during the time of placing an order, be valid throughout the process. However, we reserve the right to make typos and also have inconsistencies in stock lists.

Payment

We accept the following credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa Electron and UnionPay. Payment is processed via STRIPE. The amount of your order will not be charged until your order has been shipped.

We also accept Wilgart gift cards to be used by a coupon code entered in the shopping cart during checkout.

Order confirmation

You will receive an order confirmation by e-mail shortly after placing the order. In rare cases, an item may be out of stock. Then you will be informed by email or phone. We will do everything we can to fulfill your order.

Shipping

The price of shipping varies according to delivery method and destination.

Danish orders will be delivered within 1-4 days from the day you received your shipping confirmation.
International orders will be delivered within 5-15 days from the day you received your shipping confirmation.

Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends and holidays. If a delivery is subject to a delay or an item is out of stock, you will be informed by email as soon as possible and no later than 30 days after the order was placed. Some delays may occur during sales, very busy periods, holidays and severe weather conditions.

Please note that we are unable to deliver to PO Box addresses.

Return and Refund

If you change your mind about an item you must notify us within 14 days after having received your purchase and ship it to WILGART within the following 14 days from having notified us. To return an order please contact [email protected] and await our return confirmation. Please follow the description and find the return form under Return & Refund

Make sure that the product is still in perfect condition with undamaged packaging and with all labels still attached. We reserve the right to refuse all returns that fall under the following conditions:

  • If an item is tailored – unless obvious mistakes have been made on our behalf.
  • If the cap has been changed or personalised otherwise.
  • If an item has been used visibly, or has a usage trail.
  • If an item is sold during a sale or residual sale.

The people who answer emails, take phone calls and process your return are also the ones who also sew headgear and make handmade caps. We would like to guide you if you are unsure about returns, repairs or warranty claims. We will try to deal with the matter effectively, but please have some patience.

The responsibility for the product and the value of this falls to you until the package reaches Wilgart with a delivery confirmation. Please note that we can exchange your headwear items for a different size or color if they are available in stock if it suits your needs better. Read more under Swap your cap

Warranty claims

As a rule, minumum has a 2-year warranty on all Wilgart products. This warranty is waived if the item is sold as part of a sale. The warranty covers manufacturing defects, but not wear and tear in general use. Please contact us at [email protected] if you have a warranty claim, including the order date, pictures of the claim area and a description of the claim.

The performance of Wilgart products is of course guaranteed by good quality and is created according to old craftsmanship principles. If you are unhappy with one of our products, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us immediately. Usually, if a defect is found, it will either be repaired, replaced or refunded.

Besides getting your cap re-made or repaired, we receive valuable information about the durability and vulnerability in our products, that maybe, we where not aware of. Therefore, we are always interested to see how our caps look one, two or ten years after the time of purchase. Therefore, please let us know if you think your cap changes, or changes accidental shape or color. We would like this knowledge to be passed on to us as creating and sewing your caps.

That said, note that Wilgart’s headgear is handmade in the most honest sense of the word, so expect small variations from hat to hat. These differences attest to the fact that the product is not mass produced.

Repair

Wilgart is not any normal capshop. We do offer to repair your most beloved headwear styles, or a much appreciated heirloom, that needs new lining or needs to be adjusted size to fit a new owner. Defects due to use can in most cases be repaired for a minimal fee. The fee is case based.

Disclaimer

Wilgart does not guarantee that all items shown are in stock at the time of your order. In the event that an item is unavailable for whatever reason, Wilgart will contact you by e-mail or phone. Although we do our best to display correct images, correct colours, info and prices, errors may occur.

Every electronic device depict colours differently, therefore exact colours can’t be guaranteed. However every effort to describe the product wholly and accurately in words and pictures is being pursued. Feel free to call if you have any questions.

Handmade items

Now a few words about imperfection.

These caps are handmade. Lovingly built with special and sometimes rare and delicate materials. There will therefore be minor discrepancies in materials, weaves and stitching. These are considered marks of the hand created and contribute to the design.

If you have serious problems with fit, please contact us and we will be happy to help you. We do our best to do precise sizing, but once again the handmade aspect of the production can interfere. Changes in material thickness or lining can also affect the size quite radically.

As a customer of the Wilgart webshop, you will receive an invitation by email to review your order. If you don’t give us a review, we’ll send you a maximum of one reminder. All your personal information is handled confidentially. Wilgart (with reference to the wilgart.dk, wilgart.de and wilgart.com) will never provide any of your personal information to third parties.

For the sake of your personal information, we use SLL encryption on all data to and from the Site. When you place an order, you can log in or edit your shipping information. You can immediately check the validity of SSL encryption by clicking on the padlock icon that appears in the URL bar of your browser when SSL is enabled.
