The famous Madame Tussauds waxwork exhibit of Brando from the movie ‘The Wild One’ wearing this style. The American actor and film director Marlon Brando Jr. was one of the most admired actors in the history of the movies. Marilyn Monroe called him “the sexiest man” she had ever seen. Marlon Brando's cap has become a cultural phenomenon for the stylistically dressed man. The cap is an eightpiece with loose hanging top, which can be pushed from side to side, as well as stand directly up in the air. The same details were seen in the movie 'The Wild One'. Featuring 8/4, eight-quarter paneling, a center top button and a contrasting black shiny leather bill, finished with canvas cotton band and buttons. Beautiful old craft. This wide eightpiece is durable and robust. The cap was Marlon Brando's original signature headgear. We have cut out the fabric in our Bornholm workshop, and assembled the cap parts in the headwear sewingworkshop on Jægersborggade. The fabric is woven at the family-run German mill Schürmann Schröder. Inside is a thin black lining consisting of 50% Peace silk and 50% Organic cotton (GOTS certified). It takes many years of experience as a cap maker to master cutting and sewing after checkered fabric. It is a natural mixture of waxes and oils, which makes the cotton water-repellent, and if you want to keep this property, you can regrow the material once a year approximately.

The fabric comes from an illustrious fabric weaving mill: Schürmann Schröder, which today is one of the oldest family companies in the German textile industry. This flatcap is quite narrow and is among the most modern flatcap designs that Master Bullmann has made in recent years. Bullani Mützen and Wilgart found that narrow sixpence caps are more fashionable in the current decade. Bullmann this narrow nice cap shape. In the past, sixpoence caps were a lot wider and had more volume, but today most people prefer this shape of the cap. My teacher Herr Bullmann always says that an artisanal and well-made piece of headgear sells itself without further introduction.
