This beautiful shepherd’s hat in Harris Tweed, is sewn according to old traditions. The hat is a predecessor to the urban and modern “bully hat”, but originally the bucket hat was in heavy wool and typically worn by shepherds and villagers in Ireland and Scotland. In England, it is also called a bucket hat. Wilgart’s hat shop in Copenhagen is very impressed with the beautiful pattern that is characteristic of hats in Harris Tweed wool.
Fine shepherd’s hat made from the historic fabric Harris Tweed. A shepherd’s hat is the predecessor of the now modern Buckethat in Denmark called a “Bøllehat”. The shepherd’s hat originates from Ireland and Scotland, where many shepherds wore a hat sewn in tweed wool fabric, with a relatively large shade. This hat is made up of the traditional shepherd’s hats, which in Germany are also called a “gentleman’s hat”. However, all of Wilgart’s bridle can of course be worn by both men and women.
