It takes many years of experience as a cap maker to master cutting and sewing after checkered fabric. That's why the cap makers who sewed this flatcap were trained in Germany by Master Herr Bullmann, who himself has been sewing flatcap caps for over 35 years. The cap is of the highest quality. Lovely protective garden hat, in Burgundy red Oilskin wax cotton. At first, the hat is well saturated with the wax, but over time the wax slowly wears out of the material. It is a natural mixture of waxes and oils, which makes the cotton water-repellent, and if you want to keep this property, you can regrow the material once a year approximately.

Organic wool in a panama weave combined with durable suede. The cap is light and airy and belongs to our summer collection. The saturated black colored summer cap will remain black for many years to come. Wool is bleached only to a minimal extent by the sun's rays, compared to cotton or linen fabrics. The fine suede on the shade is made of goatskin, and will eventually get a nice patina. The leather can withstand all weathers, and can advantageously be dyed with shoe polish after 3-5 years of use. The inside of this cap is covered with lining with a thin and airy cotton fabric. Handmade in Germany, by Master Bullmann.
