      The famous Madame Tussauds waxwork exhibit of Brando from the movie ‘The Wild One’ wearing this style. The American actor and film director Marlon Brando Jr. was one of the most admired actors in the history of the movies. Marilyn Monroe called him “the sexiest man” she had ever seen. Marlon Brando's cap has become a cultural phenomenon for the stylistically dressed man. The cap is an eightpiece with loose hanging top, which can be pushed from side to side, as well as stand directly up in the air. The same details were seen in the movie 'The Wild One'. Featuring 8/4, eight-quarter paneling, a center top button and a contrasting black shiny leather bill, finished with canvas cotton band and buttons. Beautiful old craft. This wide eightpiece is durable and robust. The cap was Marlon Brando's original signature headgear. Also look at our Mr. Brando vintage cap which is the same model in a black canvas instead of this beige colored type.

      This bulky wool cap is inspired by 19th-century French caps. The wide shade and finely curled wool give this cap a feminine look. Some believe that this model is a 'women's cap', but we often see men both wearing caps and buying caps of this type. These days, the gender stereotype of the world order is fortunately in turmoil, even in the clothing world, and thank you for that. At Wilgart, however, we do not believe in the rigid gender roles, but inspire that you can dress as you please.       This lightweight skullcap is made of pure linen, and comes in all fitted sizes from XS to XXL. On the inside the skullcap has a sparkling red viscose lining. Sailorcaps have become trendy to use since the mid-2010s, in Denmark, Scandinavia and the rest of Europe. The skullcap has no shade and is therefore useful on the world's oceans and as sun protection for a bald person. A true hat classic for sailors and marines.       The secret to the amazing weather resistant cap lies in the production of the fabric, which uses the top 2% of the longest cotton fibers in the world. This water-repellent dark blue flatcap, is water resistant for some hours of moderate rain. However, it is not Water proof like (some) rainclothes are. The fabric provides good comfort because cotton as you might know, is a top fiber in terms of comfort and breathability.

      Our cap with inner ear flaps is slightly wider than most flatcaps in our hat shop. It takes a little extra to fit the ear flaps to fit properly inside the cap. In addition, the earlobes have an incision, which makes the fabric spherical, and ensures that the flaps are snug around your ears and close to head. This cap is sewn according to artisanal traditions, and therefore has the highest standard in comfort and durability. The dark sixpence with earlobes is sewn in our neighbouring country Germany by skilled cap makers with more than 30 years of experience.
