The bucket hat originated in Scotland and was worn by sheep and goat herders, among others. There, it was known as a shepherd’s hat.
The wide brim on this woolen round hat provides excellent protection from the sun. Our shepherd’s hat is made from woven fabric from the historic Donegal Tweed of 1866. This bucket hat is of the very highest quality. It retains its shape well and is versatile; it can be rolled up and packed in a suitcase.
Beautiful handmade bucket hat in shades of gray within the brown spectrum. Easily recognizable herringbone pattern. The wool is spun, dyed, and woven in Ireland by the Magee Donegal Tweed mill.
