The fabric of this warm green mottled flatcap is woven in Germany at one of the country's oldest family businesses, Gebrüder Mehler Tuchfabrik. It is loden fabric, which is characterized by these five characteristics:
      1. 100% wool type yarn
      2. Woven into a canvas binding
      3. Checkered color
      4. Felt after weaving
      5. Consists of carded yarn

      We have chosen to recolor the cap as a finished product to get a more appealing and darker shade. This means that the cap sits ½ cm higher on the head than our similar models. The creases in the cap come naturally as a result of the washing and coloring we have applied to the cap. Comes in fixed main dimensions that suit everyone with extra small heads right up to those who need an extra large cap. Sold as 2nd sorting due to our coloring that has required 3x washing of the cap.

Sheep's wool felt is heavier than the slightly more obvious felt types such as rabbit or the even finer beaver felt. Nevertheless, wool felt costs less, and is therefore a good approach for beginners or people who are considering starting to wear a hat.
