The yak lives in the Himalayas, where the wool is collected by farmers, and spun and woven by the local residents. The scarf is created in collaboration with IKIGAAI, which helps local artisans in the area, and even has roots in the Himalayan area.

The yak wool consists of long fibers and does not easily filter into balls (pilling). The wool is breathable and easy to clean because the wool does not absorb either odor or sweat. Therefore, it should not be washed very often. Available in various color combinations.

The yak lives in the Himalayas, where temperatures can reach -40 degrees Celsius in winter. The yaks are able to withstand the low temperatures due to their very thick fur. Every spring, the yak naturally loses its fur, after which it is collected by farmers in the Himalayan mountains.

The lower part of the coat is used, which is very similar to cashmere wool. The yak wool is very durable because there are large amounts of amino acids in the fibers. Clothes made of yak wool should therefore not be washed often. Yak wool has a soft sheen and a strong elasticity.
