The driving glove appeared in the early 1800s. The cars of the time were with metal steering wheel which became very cold during the winter months and often without a roof. The driving gloves protected the driver of a car from the weather and wind. Later, they were used by racing drivers to increase comfort and performance. Today, the driving glove is seen as an accessory that provides cool factor, and contributes to driving comfort and driving pleasure for veteran car enthusiasts. The driving glove gives the classic gentleman edge, and does it in a stylish way.
