This lightweight sailing hat is made from an exquisite wool/linen blend, which manages to reconcile the elegance of the wool with the airy and absorbent flax fiber. The dockerscap is light and airy and therefore comfortable to wear both in- and outside.
The Sailor cap has a thin cotton lining that helps keep shape, increases durability and absorbs sweat etc. from the head. The model is called a Sailor cap, but is often called many other things, for example among musicians it is also called a Jazz cap, dockworker cap or mickihat. Sailorcaps have no shade, and are thus very useful on the windy oceans for all kinds of sailors. It is a real sailing cap, which today often replaces all those who wear a beanie knit hat. The sewn sailor cap is old classic for sailors. Read more about the sailorcap in our blog post 7 popular caps for the modern man
This round cap without shade is handmade in Germany by my master Herr Bullmann.
Herr Bullmann is the craftsman from whom Wilgart learned how to make headgear back in 2010. Wilgart was making apprenticeship at the old cap makers place. Bullmann is the only capmaker left in his region in southern Germany, Bavaria. Read more about apprenticeship in the article Personal report or various media.
Wilgart works with Master Bullmann to make handmade headgear popular for everyday men and women. In our cap and hat shop you will find a wide selection of headwear for both men and women.
