The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is considered the strictest and most comprehensive certification in textiles. GOTS goods are checked by voluminous requirements for, among other things: Chemicals, energy consumption, social conditions and wastewater. All stages of the value chain are subject to thorough inspection, which is carried out by third party control bodies and which takes place unannounced. GOTS has zero tolerance to harmful chemicals and pesticides. That’s why Wilgart’s flatcaps and baseball caps in organic GOTS certified fabric are among the most sustainable caps and hats on the market. All of them are even sewn in Germany or Denmark, following good craftsmanship traditions.
